JOE FAVRE

Hello, I'm Joe.

I'm a design-minded maker and leader who recently moved to Amsterdam. Before that, I lived in Portland, Oregon and London. And way before that, I grew up around Chicago.

In Chicago I spent a fair amount of time in my father's graphic design studio. I studied at the American Academy of Art and worked at the design studio of Leo Burnett for six years.

A want for more outdoors, without having to abandon the excitement of creating for a living, drew me to Portland. I landed at Wieden+Kennedy as a Senior Designer and Manager for fifteen years. 

I love to build brands and experiences that engage people, as well as develop a positive, supportive environment where the best work can happen. I live this process through many roles such as design team leader, design director, strategic thinker, brand ambassador, recruiter, mentor, always flexing towards the areas most in need at any time with an outlook of “whatever it takes.”

I produce work in various mediums for today’s integrated brand communications.

My passions away from the screen take me to the mountains, waters and woods. I am a PSIA Level 3 Ski Instructor, kiteboarder, mountain biker, paraglider, hiker, and traveller.
